4-Stage QC Workflow
Inspection Workflow
Step 1 — Raw Material Inspection
Pre-Production
Incoming greige fabric, yarn, and raw material batches are inspected against approved purchase specifications before any production commences. Lot sampling follows ANSI/ASQ Z1.4 acceptance standards.
Inspection Checks
  • GSM variance ≤ ±5%
  • Width tolerance ≤ ±1.5cm
  • Yarn count verification
  • Visual defect scan on 10% of incoming rolls
100%
Incoming lots inspected
Step 2 — In-Process Quality Monitoring
During Production
Continuous monitoring at three production milestones: 30%, 60%, and 90% completion. In-line inspectors audit weave density, tension consistency, dye uniformity, and machine parameters in real time.
Inspection Checks
  • 3-stage in-line inspection
  • Weave density checks per run
  • Dye uniformity and penetration audit
  • Machine tension log review
3x
In-line checks per run
Step 3 — 4-Point Fabric Inspection
Post-Production
The industry-standard 4-point system assigns demerit points to fabric defects based on size — 1 point (up to 7.5cm), 2 points (7.5–15cm), 3 points (15–23cm), and 4 points (>23cm). Maximum 40 points per 100 linear metres is accepted.
Inspection Checks
  • 100% of production rolls inspected
  • 4-point demerit scoring system
  • Defect mapping and roll tagging
  • Reject roll quarantine and re-inspection
≤40 pts
Per 100 Linear Meters
Step 4 — Final Batch Quality Approval
Pre-Dispatch
Each production batch is reviewed by the QC sign-off team against the buyer's approved Tech Pack before release. Lab test certificates, 4-point inspection reports, and packing inspection sign-offs are compiled into a full documentation pack.
Inspection Checks
  • QC manager sign-off required
  • Lab certificate compilation
  • Packing and labelling audit
  • Dispatch documentation issued

Defect Classification Reference
1
1 Point
Up to 7.5 cm
Minor defect — does not impact garment-making
2
2 Points
7.5 cm – 15 cm
Visible defect — requires monitoring
3
3 Points
15 cm – 23 cm
Significant defect — flagged for review
4
4 Points
Over 23 cm
Critical defect — automatic quarantine
Acceptance threshold: Maximum 40 demerit points per 100 linear metres. Rolls exceeding this threshold are quarantined and subject to re-inspection or rejection.
